Amaya's Voicemail.
"Hey, there. I guess the thing is to make a greeting for this little device that lets you know you've reached the phone of Amaya Blackstone, and you can leave a message for me here, and that I promise not to take apart this one like I have the past three. I haven't figured out how to get them back up and running yet, but I will, you mark my words. This one, I'll not tinker with. Apparently it's important. So rest assured, you can reach me here, and I'll try to get back. I mean, I suppose it's more efficient than a letter, but it's still a little strange..."

Crazy Phone Day
"Are you asking me to make Takoyaki again? I did not know you were so fond of Octopus balls. I promise to make more this weekend, my friend."

"Ms Blackstone, this is Doctor Lecter. I did give you my word to let you know should it happen - tomorrow we will be eating meat on sticks in class. I encourage your attendance."
Non-Denominational Winter-Holiday-Representative Gift Exchange
The toughest part, really, had been finding a box to put it in that hadn't been full of doggie treats. So, if the spanner happened to be tucked inside a somewhat repurposed rifle case - the one he used to keep his lightsaber parts in before he'd started wearing it in pieces on his belt for convenience - well, he was just being resourceful.
Either way, it was being left on the doorstep to the Forge on Kanan's way to work that morning. Happy holidays, Amaya!

A pause.
"I'm sorry this caused you problems."
no subject
"Hi Amaya, it's me. Heard on the radio that... well... you got bitten? I hope you didn't bite them back and used a proper weapon instead. I'm sure you did. Call me back when you hear this?"
If Amaya didn't call back, Seivarden would call again later. And possibly again, after that, sounding increasingly worried.

I'm stuck on a party island with two people who insist on being miserable and grumpy. Advice?
no subject
Go find two people who don't insist on being miserable and grumpy, or invite me next time.
What? She could be fun! Definitely not miserable or grumpy, at any rate!
When you say stuck, do you mean stuck in a social sense or actually STUCK stuck?
It was an important distinction!
no subject
no subject
Which she had!
I say at least give it a try. You're there already, right? And if there's just more miserable and grumpy people, then call it a wash. Maybe there's a good tea place you can go to? At least pick some up for me before you head back.
Seivarden would forever owe her tea for how much she went through when she visited or plant-sat, after all.
no subject
She thought for a moment.
At least I've found acceptable tea.
With Lucifer's help.
I'll try to make the best of it.
She'd add something about appreciating how Amaya never got this mopey, but wasn't sure if that would sound too mushy, so she didn't.
no subject
The mess that was the forge right nkw would beg otherwise.
But I'm sure even you can. Find a good time on a party island, Captain. Miserable and grumpy lumps notwithststanding.
no subject
Thanks
no subject
It was bad enough when someone ELSE did that, without her joining in on it, too!
Anytime, Captain.
And then, a little while later, another text came through:
Is it a TROPICAL party island? Cause if it's a tropical party ia.d, I expect you to at least go get one on of those silly drinks in coconuts. I'll be needing photographic proof, too!
no subject
No coconuts, but still. Delete this after you've seen it.
This is how much she trusted you, Amaya.
no subject
But that didn't mean this was proof enough. She was trying, after all, to make sure she had some sort of tangible goal as distraction, if needed.
Sorry, Captain. No coconuts, no deal.
no subject
Sorry, didn't find any. Up for class research tomorrow?
Because she really needed a good entertainment, even if it was just explosions.
no subject
That...
Yes, she was attempting a dramatic pause in text. Blame Summer.
....sound like an excellent idea. Count me in.
no subject
Didn't go well. She said she liked me before I complained about the movie.
no subject
But Amaya was frowning at that text when she got it, not sure at first what it even meant, and, once she did, unsure of how to respond.
Somehow, she felt 'well obviously' wasn't going to be helpful.
You apologized, though?
That also comfortably avoided needing to discuss anything about who liked who and other mushy nonsense that she just wasn't equipped to handle.
no subject
no subject
Yeah, hi, how did you think Amaya was a good mopey text emotional support choice, Seivarden?
no subject
no subject
Mostly!
It's called levity! A little humor to lighten up the situation! But good job. I'm proud of you. I know that wasn't easy for you to do.
And her nose wrinkled a little after she sent it, because it was true and important for Seivarden to hear...er, well, read...but it still skirted emotions a little too closely for her comfort.
no subject
Seivarden smiled a little.
I drank half a bottle of tequila. Should probably sleep.
no subject
She supposed it didn't really matter, there was probably going to be a pretty nasty hangover either way.
I should say so! And drink some water before you do!
no subject
You know I always listen to your advice.
no subject
Amaya almost didn't send it, because she figured they could probably go back and forth like that for a bit if they weren't careful (and Seivarden had tequila in her), and she probably really should get some sleep, which is why it was followed up quickly by:
Now go to bed! Don't make me send the Crumbler over to tuck you in.
no subject
I heard you got to extinguish a fire on Friday. That's definitely an emergency! I just wanted to ask if you'd like to have that movie night this week. Any night apart from Sunday works for me. And fingers crossed for no emergencies.

Oh no, you weren't Lana.

Wacky Phone/Texting Day
You don't even have to have sex anymore? Another reason to hate this place.

PHONE DAY!
"Okay, first off, it's adorable that you still don't say 'fuck'. Second, I promise to never try to drag you anywhere unless you ask me to."
Voicemail left for Amaya early Monday

Let me know if you see a good tea house, or I might have to become a regular at the one I've found.
Granted, they had good tea and the owner was pretty, but that wasn't really the reason for this text. Seivarden was just trying to stop herself from emptying the minibar.
no subject
Well, I haven't really been looking, but I'll keep an eye out! But hey, they do day if it ain't broke, don't fix it!! Right? I mean, I don't necessarily agree, if it ain't broke, it could probably be improved but what I'm getting at is there's nothing wrong with it if you like their tea! ESPECIALLY if YOU like it, it mist be good! I'll have to check it out. Are you there now?
So look at that, a person really COULD ramble via text!
no subject
I'm still in bed. I can meet you there in a bit.
She added the address.
no subject
This was followed, quite a little bit later, with:
And boy do I have a story to tell you now!
Did they get to the Tea Party part of the tour just then?
They definitely got to the Tea Party part of the tour just then!

Phone Day
Hey, come over here, get your pretty frock off, momma’s feeling frisky and she could use a motorboat.
… yeah, that had definitely been intended for someone with more of an interest in pink.

There was also a note:
I don't think this one likes fire much. Probably do better in a greenhouse.
