Feeling exceptionally relieved that she hadn't woken up as a younger, bespectacled version of herself, Amaya decided to take advantage of the nice day to do something that she would not only enjoy, but it needed to be done, anyway: winterizing the Crumbler. She'd rolled it out of the shed, spread her tools and parts in a sort of nice organized chaos around the small yard, and set to work. Sure, it'd taken a little dip into her forge fund to cover the price of what she needed, but it was an investment, especially if taking good care of the Crumbler now meant the Crumbler would take good care of her (and her pockets) later.

If you caught her at the right moments, you might have even picked up a faint strain of whistling underneath all the clanking and banging and whirring.
