63 Serendipity Place; Saturday Evening [10/14].

So, after spending the day there, Amaya had concluded that this Turtle & Canary thing wasn't as bad as it initially seemed. Sure, her hammer hand was going to get a little tingly from not being used, but there was plenty to do there to keep her busy, and that Apu fellow seemed like a real hardworking guy...with patience in spades. She liked that. And apparently the town seemed so quiet when she arrived because most of the school had been away on a trip, and they were just getting back. She liked that, too.

What she didn't like was what she found when she went to see the house that came with the whole deal. It would be a bit weird, not living right off her shop like she'd been used to, but she was open to new experiences. The small bit of yard could use some upkeep; there were lines dug into it from the Merchant's cart's wheels, but still plenty of room for a garden, that was good. The building itself seemed to have good bones on it, too, but, even before she open the door, she could smell something...off. Something...that a house should not smell like.

Goats. The place reeked of goats, which wasn't too surprising, since the Merchant had those ridiculous 'unicorns,' but when she opened the door and the smell hit her like a wall and she realized that the Merchant hadn't lived in the house, but the goat had, and it showed, she'd just about lost it.

Who just let two goat run wild in a house? Two goats who ate everything, one of which had really bad depth perception, too.

"You have got to be kidding me!"

Well. At least her hammer hand wouldn't be too bored after all...
