6 Unicorn Street; Friday [06/29].
This week might have been a break week, but there was still activity stirring up the construction site. Amaya had been waiting all week for this and now had a full weekend of work to look forward to as she signed off on the delivery of the materials she'd need to build the forge in the nice, open space of the shop's first floor. She took a second to savor that brief moment of anticipation and promise that made starting a new project--especially such an important project--so sweet before cracking her knuckles, adjusting her gloves, and getting started.
Laying bricks and mortar wasn't a particularly difficult job, no, but it was work Amaya enjoyed. Really, though, there were very few examples of work that Amaya didn't enjoy. And it definitely helped knowing that this work was work that would leave to even more work, and it was the work she was born to do. Didn't even bother her that it was a little warm out; if anything, it just made her more eager for that heat of a hot forge on her face again.

She still hadn't managed to wrap her head around that one, truth be told. Considering her profession, it just made her feel...uncomfortable if she gave it too much thought.
